Want to set up a nature programme, forest school programme or bush school but aren’t sure what to do to make it happen? Or not sure if what you are already doing is on the right track?
Then, this is the nature education training you have been looking for!
This weekend workshop will give you the skills and the confidence to teach tamariki in te taiao in on-site or excursions in New Zealand (sometimes called Bush Kindy, Nature School or Forest School).
The workshop is aimed at a wide range of people involved in the provision of outdoor education; from Board members to EOTC co-ordinators and instructional staff. This is because Fatality Prevention is best achieved by ‘defence in depth’ – it is a shared responsibility.

Spend the day with us at Aotearoa's most important historic site to enhance your own understanding of our histories and your teaching of ANZH in your classrooms.
The full-day programme includes a 2.5 hour Aotearoa NZ’s Histories workshop, a guided tour of the Treaty Grounds, time to explore Te Kōngahu Museum of Waitangi and Te Rau Aroha Museum of the Price of Citizenship, and a cultural experience in Te Whare Rūnanga.
