The aim of the annual conference of the Inclusive Education Summit is to consider how education systems can be part of a much wider agenda - the building of inclusive societies.
The conference theme 'It’s about all of us', invites us to meet, work and think together: People from marginalised groups, their families and whānau, allies and accomplices, researchers, students, educators and educational leaders, advocacy organisations.
The conference will be opened by New Zealand’s Disability Rights Commissioner Paula Tesoriero and feature keynotes by Assoc Dean Ann Cheryl Armstrong, University of South Pacific; Prof Angus Macfarlane, Professor University of Canterbury.
180 Learning Support study awards will be awarded to teachers for 2020.
The Learning Support study awards are an opportunity for teachers to train in specialist areas and develop their skills in working with students with additional learning needs.
Applications for all the study awards close on 30 September.
Many past study award recipients have gone on to become highly sought after specialist resource teachers and advisors.
The study award package can include paid tuition fees, study leave and contributions towards travel and accommodation for any compulsory block courses.

B – a device for teaching some aspects of mathematics;
C – a television, video, audio-visual or other communication programme on or for teaching mathematics;
D – a paper examining a method of teaching mathematics.
