This PLD will be an opportunity to come together to explore the concept of ‘intentional teaching’, breaking down some of the myths that exist by exploring the term, the practices it encompasses, and the opportunities it provides for teacher practice. Teaching in ECE is about more than turning up, and this PLD will provide guidance to support teachers to engage in intentional teaching practices that support them to bring Te Whariki to life every day.
Unpacking Ka Hikitia to engage participants to have a better understanding of the importance of this document in education (with a focus on Ece). This PLD will allow participants to engage in koorero with one another (and those online) to gain more understanding and ideas to genuinely implement into practice and/ or centres.
