Kia ora koutou,
As you may already know, Stardome is currently closed for extensive renovation and re-roofing.
Until our doors open again later this year, we will be offering these education outreach activities:
Ask an Astronomer
30-60 mins online Q+A session with one of our Stardome educators, free of charge.
- 30-minute – 1-hour online session with a Stardome Astronomy Educator for students to ask questions they have pre-prepared in their units.
- This was a very popular form of outreach that we ran through lockdowns. They are enquiry-led sessions which usually develop organically from the questions asked and evolve into
broad conversations with students. - Stardome educators are prepared with online resources including videos, images and slideshows to provide an engaging discussion and presentation.

Recycling Week (October 16-22) is Aotearoa New Zealand's largest national annual campaign for education on recycling and waste minimisation. The week promotes education and awareness of better recycling habits and ways of contributing to a waste-free future.
