Catherine will present this introduction to Numicon for all teachers, RTLB’s, LSC’s, SENCO’s and teacher aides who want to learn what Numicon is and how to use it.

Numicon is designed to help all children from level 1-4 of the curriculum succeed in maths.

It is created by teachers and experts in the field based on a proven concrete, pictorial, abstract approach. This course will give particular guidance when students struggle with maths.

Numicon encourages children to explore maths using structured imagery and concrete apparatus in order to understand and explain maths concepts.

We will look at the printed resources, the apparatus, and the use of manipulatives in your maths programme.

You will leave with some resources and many ideas for use in your classroom.

Morning tea will be provided, please bring your own lunch.

Covid-19 Protection Framework (traffic lights) requires attendees to show their vaccine pass.

Venue: St Lukes in Remuera.
