Hamilton: A series of workshops for Learning Support Coordinators

This series of three afternoon workshops will support Learning Support Coordinators as they develop shared understandings of what it means to be gifted. Utilising a bi-cultural approach, participants will discover the ways in which they can identify gifted learners and their particular needs within their localised context.

They will learn to:

  • recognise gifted learners
  • identify their needs in ways that are inclusive of the learner and their parents and whānau and
  • engage and nuture gifted learners with a challenging curriculum.

Drawing on appreciative inquiry within a community of practice, participants will learn together and create next steps in response to the identified needs and aspirations of the people in their place. 

Session 1: Tuesday, 30 August 2022

Session 2: Tuesday, 20 September 2022

Session 3: Tuesday, 18 October 2022  

Series cost: NZ$480.00 per person.
