Providing professional level holistic and culturally responsive pastoral care to our students has never been as important as it is today. In this workshop you will be introduced to and experience the highly effective and evidence based ‘Whare Tapa Rima – Five Sided (WTR-FSH) Support Model’. You will have the opportunity to assess and plan to improve your own holistic health and wellbeing and that of students and staff you work with.

WTR-FSH has been researched in 2 Ako Aotearoa supported Best Practice Research Projects and both demonstrated the cultural responsiveness and extraordinary effectiveness of the model in practice. Also examined during the day will be how this model can support you and your school to address new Pastoral Care Code requirements. Participants are welcome to bring along pastoral care challenges for discussion at the workshop. This workshop is suitable for those experienced and new to pastoral care provision.
