Professional development (PD) New Zealand (nationwide)

Posted: 13 December 2021
Notice reference #: 1HAS1c

Professionalism in the workplace is very important and as early childhood kaiako we need to continue to strive and advocate for ourselves as education professionals. Understanding team culture and the different ways team members communicate is vitally important to becoming a successful team.

This course looks into workplace professionalism and etiquette so as kaiako understand what is expected of them in terms of their actions and attitude in the centre/service, what is appropriate and professional conduct for a work place, engaging with children, meeting teaching standards, and supporting team members. Kaiako are encouraged to reflect daily on their conduct and team involvement to ensure they are meeting their role description and responsibilities as well as team expectations and meeting the 6 teaching standards.

Presented via Zoom.
