Beginning Teacher Vacancy Support (COVID-19)
Keep New Zealand Beautiful partner with Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) to run the Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) Programme in New Zealand.
The FEE GAIA 20:30 Biodiversity Lesson Plan Competition invites Eco-Schools, LEAF and YRE teachers to develop lesson plans to promote active learning around the topic biodiversity. It is developed to encourage teachers to educate their students about the environment they live in and how to protect it. Coherent lesson plans will be included in FEE’s lesson plan database and will be widely disseminated in the global network!
Each participating teacher is encouraged to submit a minimum of 1 and up to 3 lesson plans on the topic of biodiversity.
The lesson plans will be assessed via a jury of experts. The 3 best plans will win a prize and will be promoted on the FEE’s newsletter and social media platforms. All shortlisted entries will be published in the author’s name on the FEE’s webpage/publication and will be made available free of cost as an open-source.
1st prize: 300 Euros and a global certificate
2nd prize: 200 Euros and a global certificate
3rd prize: 100 Euros and a global certificate
Entries can be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org. Further information about the New Zealand YRE Programme can be found at www.yre.org.nz
