Safeguarding Children, trusted experts in child protection training and services, are offering an essential live webinar event: Recognising and Responding to Grooming

Grooming involves a perpetrator establishing a trusting relationship with a child and those associated with the child’s care and wellbeing, to create an environment in which sexual abuse can occur. Sexual abuse can be prevented if the adults around children know how to recognise grooming and respond effectively.

Take this course to acquire and build the knowledge and skills required to prevent child sexual abuse.

What will I learn?

  • Understand the motivations of adults who sexually offend against children
  • Recognise risk factors of child sexual abuse
  • Recognise signs and patterns of grooming, both face to face and online
  • Respond appropriately to grooming concerns
  • Prevent and interrupt grooming behaviour.

Who is this course for?

Parents, caregivers and anyone working with families, children and young people. Whether your safeguarding journey is just starting, part way or near completion.
