Hamilton: Primary Y1 PCT (Y0-4) 2022

Professional development (PD) Waikato

Posted: 19 November 2021
Notice reference #: 1HARQm

This series of 5 full-day, kanohi ki te kanohi workshops is designed for newly graduated teachers working with students in Y0–4, teachers returning to the profession, and teachers new to the schooling system in Aotearoa.

Applying educational theory in your practice can be a challenge, especially when you’re starting on your teaching journey or returning after an extended break in teaching. Our team of experienced facilitators will work alongside you to explore effective pedagogy while offering a range of teaching strategies and resources to implement back in the classroom. These workshops are hands-on, dialogic, and are a great way to network with other teachers like you. As well as exploring the 6 standards for the teaching profession, integration of tikanga Māori, te reo and ways of honouring Te Tiriti will be apparent throughout the series.

Registration: 8:30am–9am.

Session: 9am–3pm.

Location: Te Whai Toi Tangata, University of Waikato - Hamilton Campus.
