Feuerstein Teaching Thinking Workshop

Professional development (PD) Auckland

Posted: 09 November 2021
Notice reference #: 1HAR58

Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment workshops in January.

Auckland Basic I, January 17–21

Auckland Standard I, January 24–28

More advanced programmes will be held later in the year.

The Feuerstein programme was developed to address the cognitive and metacognitive learning processes, as well as motivational needs, of children with learning challenges.

The Basic programme is for children below the age of 8 and with considerable and complex learning challenges.

The Standard programme is used more generally.

There is considerable research evidence both internationally and here in New Zealand for the value of this approach.

See D.Howie (2020), Thinking about the Teaching of Thinking: The Feuerstein Approach. (London: Routledge).

Please contact Dr. Dorothy Howie on D.Howie@auckland.ac.nz for details on the workshops.
