Putting Relationships First: A School Wide Approach to Support Disrupted Learning
Join Cognition Education for a webinar on relationships-based learning techniques.
While teaching and learning can be disrupted for a number of reasons, everyone has experienced disrupted learning over the last 18 months. Although we hope that COVID-19 influenced disruption comes to an end, we can’t rule it out, and therefore school leaders need to plan for maximising outcomes during times of disruption.
Relationships are more important than ever and should be central to any disruption planning.
Although everyone is affected, and needs to be considered, learning from home and disruption has the potential to detrimentally increase the achievement gap for marginalised learners. Improving relationships at every level in your school can work to decrease this gap.
In this webinar, we will explore how school leaders can apply relationships-based learning principles to support a school-wide ‘disrupted learning plan’.
Aims of the workshop:
- We will review the importance of relationships to learning outcomes
- Learn how to create positive relationships during times of disruption
- Explore how positive relationships enhance learning in the classroom, at home and during states of flux.
