New Zealand Assessment Institute Conference

Assessment to Improve Learning: Principles, Practices and Proof across the System

The New Zealand Assessment Institute is holding its national assessment conference online in October this year. The conference promotes a system that learns by showcasing how teachers, leaders, central agency folk, researchers and PLD facilitators use assessment information for the benefit of all.

Dates: Mornings of 4 October and 5 October, 2021, online.

Content: A mix of workshops and presentations will include primary and secondary school practitioners, along with system thinkers from the Ministry of Education and education agencies, NZCER, universities, and PLD providers. Many presentations will be interactive, so you’ll be able to ask questions and have an opportunity to chat.

Registration for the 2021 conference is now open. It will allow you to access every presentation, either in real time during the two mornings of the conference or afterwards, in your own time.

The early bird rate to is $210 through to 17 September.

  • Kaye Brunton, immediate past-principal of Ngāti Toa school and Sue Chalmers of NZQA
  • Pauline Cleaver from the Ministry of Education, Associate Deputy Secretary – Curriculum, Pathways & Progress
  • Nicholas Pole – Chief Executive/Chief Review Officer for ERO.
