Introduction to Specific Learning Disabilities (including dyslexia)

SPELD NZ’S two-day introductory course is for you!
This Level 3 NZQA-approved course is an Introduction. It will cover great insights into what it’s like to have an SLD and why SLD occurs. It also offers constructive, practical strategies to help these learners in the classroom setting and at home.
Attendees come from a variety of backgrounds, including parents/whanau and educators (such as teacher aides, tutors, Learning Support Co-ordinators, teachers, SENCO, school management). It is suitable for those with limited knowledge of SLD, such as dyslexia, and for people interested in refreshing their knowledge or learning more.
This is a two-day course open to all. It runs from 9am to 4pm and includes a lunch break. You need to attend both days.
No prior qualifications are required to enrol. A certificate is issued on completion of the course.

Earlybird pricing is valid until two weeks before the course starts (we need to receive registration and payment before this date to qualify for the early bird price). Training subsidies may be available towards registered teachers attending this two-day course.
