Projects and programmes Auckland

Posted: 13 July 2021
Notice reference #: 1HANFe

Relevant for all Principals, Department Heads or Leaders within Schools, this two-day workshop will focus on building relationships while tackling and progressing significant work tasks and problems.

This highly practical and research-based course will have direct relevance to your own leadership and kura or school development. You will engage in current problem solving contextualised for your own role and organisation.

Course Outline

  • Day-one: an introduction to the theory that underpins Open-to-learning™ Leadership and learn to understand your leadership style in relation to Open-to-learning™ values.
  • Day-two: Receive individual and group coaching from accredited kaiwhakaruruhau/facilitators on your theory-in-use and learn how to change your behaviour to have more effective conversations.

We encourage three or more people to attend from each enrolling kura or school. Feedback from our workshops suggests that the learning is most valuable and has the greatest impact when a team of three or more from an organisation attend together.

This workshop can be accessed using Regionally-Allocated PLD hours.

Date: 27-28 September
Time: 9am–4pm
Venue: Kohia Centre, University of Auckland, Faculty of Education and Social Work, 78 Epsom Avenue, Epsom, Auckland.
