Elephantic - Dance Film and Free Resources
Black Grace are excited to share with you our new dance film in partnership with The Guerrilla Collection festival - Elephantic.
Elephantic is based on a story, authored by Neil Ieremia and illustrated by Pati Fuiava, which was turned into a dance show for the inaugural The Guerrilla Collection festival, in 2018.
Isaac is born with Elephantic ears so rare they happen only every one hundred years. He struggles with being different and must learn to believe in the power of his ears …
To accompany Elephantic we have created free lesson plans and resources for Y1–6, which explore the ideas presented in the dance film and align with the NZ Curriculum. The link below will lead you to The Guerrilla Collection website where you can access Elephantic and download the free resources. You can also keep up with the festival by following The Guerrilla Collection Instagram page @theguerrillacollection.
We hope that you and your class enjoy watching Elephantic and completing the activities. We would love for you to share your movement responses and any feedback with us by sending them to email@example.com
