Using Game Design Across the Curriculum
Come along and discover how we can engage students using the fundamentals of game design, to help them to tell both their own and local stories that they can share with the world.
This 2-day hui is on:
Tuesday, 10 and Wednesday, 11 August
The hui will cover:
- The fundamentals of game design and how this links to the wider curriculum
- We will look at the digital technologies curriculum content, and how game design links to DDDO and CTDT
- There will be time to have a play, design your first game, and also plan for this in the classroom
- Kaiko will come away with a robust plan to integrate this into teaching and learning.
This is free events for teachers to extend their PLD.
Teachers are welcome to bring 2 students to these workshops and take back to the classroom to help other students.
