12–14 July 2021 @ Queen Margaret College

The New Zealand Institute of Physics is the association for professional physicists in New Zealand. We provide a forum for discussing physics education and research, a physics teacher network (PHYSIKOS), and submissions to government concerning physics education and research.

We invite you to join us in Wellington for the conference whose programme includes:

  • Keynotes Cather Simpson, Craig Rofe, Ben Ruck, Michele Bannister, Tim Haskell & Michael Johnston
  • Over 100 workshop, talk & poster presentations which cover the latest research and effective teaching methods
  • Special plenary session offering a local focus: "Capital Physicists - science from across Wellington"
  • Offsite visit to Gracefield Innovation Quarter including refreshments, lab visits and debate (transport provided)
  • And plenty of networking functions including dinner at Te Marae (Te Papa)
