We are excited to announce that the 2021 EC-Menz Summit in Ōtautahi (Christchurch) on Saturday, June 12 will feature an amazing lineup of speakers drawn from across the early childhood sector. As an example, please check out this presentation abstract below, that promises to explore one of the more contentious (and fascinating) aspects of play in early childhood settings.
- We Can Work it Out: Making a World of Difference
Zoom presentation by Kenny Spence, Men in Childcare, Scotland
- Playful Aggression: Superhero and Weapon Play in ECE
Presented by Robin Christie, Childspace, Wellington, Aotearoa.
- Tākaro a Tinana
Presented by Matt Te Maro, ECE and Primary Teacher Whangārei.
- Challenging Behaviour
Presented by Cara Swit
Sunday morning will involve tours of some local ECE centres for inspiration and discussion around how environment plays the part of the third teacher.
And of course, these hui always provide invaluable time for networking and meeting other amazing people in the profession. A great chance to share ideas, find inspiration and reignite your passion for teaching.
