Rock our Future School Competition 2021 – Y5–8
The Aggregate and Quarry Association (AQA) has launched our Rock our Future competition for 2021.
It’s a competition we think would be a great opportunity to fit in with the Technology and/or Science curriculum as an individual essay project for years 5-8, and there are great prizes up for grabs:
- 4 x $1,000 prizes to each winning school
- 4 x $100 prizes of $100 to each winning entrant
The scope: Students are to write an essay describing their experiences at a quarry and what they learned.
The brief: Students are encouraged to visit a local quarry and write an essay of no more than 500 words describing their experience at the quarry and what they learnt during the visit.
The competition closes at the end of term 2, Friday 9 July 2021.
You can also find more info about past years on our website.
The Grow Waitaha Canterbury DigiAwards are back for 2021! We welcome entries from Year 0-8 ākonga that support this year’s theme - Tō pitomata, He rua kanapū wehi ana. Your potential is something to behold, like lightning that lights up the skies.
