Bring award-winning clean sport education into your classroom
The Good Clean Sport School Toolkit supports students and youth athletes on a journey through clean sport here in Aotearoa New Zealand through a face-to-face workshop with a current or former NZ athlete and innovative virtual and augmented reality technologies.
Over five free lessons, students develop knowledge and practical life skills relating to key topics in clean sport, from values and integrity to food-first nutrition. Students walk through a virtual reality doping control process; ‘experience’ the health effects of doping via augmented reality; discover the risks of supplement use; and develop their ability to self-manage and make healthy decisions.
The Toolkit aligns with New Zealand’s Health and Physical Education Curriculum by incorporating Hauora, the Māori philosophy of wellbeing, from a sociological perspective focused on health promotion. It contains resources for Y7–9 and Y10–13, and the flexibility to appeal to a general student audience or target youth athletes specifically.
The Toolkit is FREE to all NZ intermediate and secondary schools.

“The Arts are the bridge to a better future”
Te Rito Toi www.teritotoi.org supports teachers and principals to return to school following or during crisis. The site includes classroom support through detailed lesson plans developed and trialled by teacher-researchers to match situations in Aotearoa New Zealand schools created by COVID 19.
Te Rito Toi advocates for the arts as the heart of classroom activity in troubling times. The site is appropriate for all teachers regardless of experience teaching in/through the Arts. Soon it will offer a space to share your work in our new online gallery space.
