CLIL - Learning German through playing handball

Overview:

In this workshop you are going to:

  • Develop an understanding of learning and teaching German, applying CLIL (Content Language Integrated Learning) within the German language classroom.
  • Experience a hands-on lesson - observing CLIL in practice.
  • Share German resources.
  • Learn about current projects being used in teaching German.
  • Connect and network with other school teachers. 

Who should attend:  This free workshop is open to teachers interested in teaching German. Secondary teachers of German are the target audience; however Primary and Intermediate teachers are also welcome.

Facilitator:  Alexandra Toeniges (German NLA).

Cost:  Free.

Catering:  Morning tea and lunch will be provided.  Please email us at fls.languages@auckland.ac.nz if you have any questions and/or to advise us of any special dietary requirements.

Application deadline: 5pm, Wednesday 2 June 2021.
