Online - Number Talks and Building a Love of Maths with Sarah Tohill
Number talks as a concept were founded by the work of Jo Boaler. These math sessions are short mathematical conversations which allow students to explore number sense, mathematical language, the talk moves and creativity in thinking and exploring the world. Number talks have multiple entry points to cater to a range of student ability and knowledge. They can be used as maths warm ups or mini workshop lessons. During this session you will learn how to facilitate a number talk while igniting a passion for maths within every student (and their teacher).
