Ready for something new in your teaching practice? Invigorate your class AND career by learning how to use nature as your classroom.⁠

In an engaging one day professional development workshop, you’ll learn how to use nature education to support curriculum learning and the wellbeing of your students. 

PLUS you'll take home the value packed Resource Kit to use in school. 

 The workshop covers:

  • Benefits of nature education
  • Influences on nature education in NZ
  • Educational approaches including, nature play, nature connection, intentional learning experiences + more
  • The Nature Everyday Programme and how to use it
  • Experience techniques for using the Nature Everyday Programme
  • Curriculum Linking both Te Whāriki and NZ Primary
  • The Teachers Role including capturing and documenting learning, health and safety + more
  • Integrating Te Ao Māori and Te Reo Māori in nature education
  • Plus, you receive a printed Training Guidebook and Nature Everyday Resource Kit

The training is facilitated by Kathy Broadhead MEd, PGDipT, BSc - founder and lead educator at Nature Library. Kathy runs Nature Kids (Nature School and Holiday Programme) in the Bay of Plenty and is a qualified and experienced environmental educator with over 20 years working in education roles in New Zealand and abroad.
