Exploring Science in the Early Years
In this free online workshop Exploring science in the early years we will share kaiako Cathy Upton’s story of how she has grown and celebrated science at Country Kids Kindergarten. Hear how she has overcome challenges and discovered the benefits of having a strong science presence at her centre.
On 29 April we will be sharing videos of Cathy’s reflections, providing time to discuss any questions you may have, as well as identifying what steps you might take to ensure tamariki have access to quality science education in the early years.
This session will inspire you to reflect on your current science programmes and support you to grow quality science experiences in your centre.
This webinar links to all of the strands of Te Whāriki as well as to the science learning area and key competencies of the New Zealand Curriculum. It will be valuable for both early childhood and primary school teachers.
