SADD is a student-led charity preventing loss on New Zealand roads. Students use best practice, road safety education approaches to influence their peers and wider community to positively promote lifelong safe road user behaviours.
SADD is not just about teaching young drivers about road safety; it is so much more than that!
Our point of difference is in offering youth-centered leadership development and behaviour changing opportunities within a road safety context. An emphasis is on good decision making and societal contribution. SADD offers opportunities for students to work collaboratively to develop solutions to achieve our collective goals and improving wellbeing outcomes for our Rangatahi.
Check out our prospectus on our website for more benefits and opportunities for student’s.
We have some great examples from SADD leaders who have used road safety themes for their NCEA assessments. – see activities page.
