Volunteer-guide led educational tours are available for classes visiting Matiu/Somes Island.

These half-day, morning or afternoon tours cover the island's unique cultural and natural history. They fit well with the New Zealand Curriculum and with NCEA programmes.

The tour cost is $2 per student (plus $13 per head for the return ferry fare).

As the term 4 demand for tours can exceed guiding and ferry capacity tour bookings for November and December should be made by the beginning of term 3.
