Understanding and Supporting Learners with ASD for Teacher Aides

ASK (Autism Spectrum Knowledge) training is a series of interactive professional development workshops facilitated by knowledgeable and experienced facilitators who work with ASD children on a daily basis.
Teacher aides and learning assistants, start the 2021 school year equipped with practical strategies and tools to better support children on the Autism Spectrum.
This training has been specially designed for TA’s and learning assistants to increase your understanding of Autism and the strengths and challenges of learners with ASD.
Understanding and Supporting Learners with ASD (Full Day)
- What is Autism?
- The sensory and communication differences that learners with ASD may experience
- Understanding each learner and their individual profile of strengths and challenges
- How to build a kete/toolbox of strategies, visual aids, activities and tips to better support children with ASD in the learning environment.
We provide a follow up session (2 hours) on Thursday 4 March 2021, 7–9pm.
