Live Online Course – Working with Children with ASD

This Safe for Children live online course is ideal for school leaders, teachers, and support staff.
Duration: 2 hours (1 hour each module)
Dates: Tuesday 27 October and Wednesday 28 October
Time: 11am–12pm each day
Cost: $50 + GST per person
Next course: 26 and 27 November, 10am–11am.
Topics covered (module 1) Tuesday 27 October:
- What is autism?
- A nonlinear spectrum
- Executive functioning
- Theory of Mind
- Tips and tools for managing autism and anxiety
Topics covered (module 2) Wednesday 28 October:
- Sensory difficulties – adjusting the classroom environment to be more autism friendly
- Stimming
- Meltdowns vs tantrums.
This course is interactive and engages participants. You will be able to ask questions along the way and they will get answered while you are watching.
To gain your relevant certificate of training you will be invited to complete 4 or 5 multi choice questions.
