Reo-a-waha: Oral Language for Learning (PLD for Teacher Aides)
Teacher Aides are an important resource in our classrooms. Our new course is an opportunity for Teacher Aides to participate and up-skill in high-quality blended professional learning experience that is specially designed for them.
Cognition Education has crafted a PLD course that focuses on developing Reo-a-Waha: Oral Language – a significant component in all children’s learning and social development – but especially for students who require more focused attention (typically given by Teacher Aides).
Our course runs for 6 months, from January 2021, with a combination of:
Face-to-face workshops
- January 27th
- July 23rd
Virtual meetings
- February 24th
- March 31st
- May 5th
And the use of IRIS Connect to support training in-between. Our aim is to allow Teacher Aides the time and opportunity to really apply what they learn, to notice and reflect on their impact and to share their growing knowledge within their school.
