Notice reference #: 1HA9ri

The author of the popular resource ‘Job Interview Success’ brings an interactive workshop to your school for students seeking part-time work and those about to enter the workforce permanently.

The aim of the workshop is to develop confidence in students as they navigate the job search and interview process. This is achieved through a meaningful and realistic understanding while emphasising the power of preparation.

Workshops are held at your school so there is no need to transport students. Book a single session for up to 25 students or consecutive sessions across multiple classes.

The facilitator has many years of experience as an employer hiring students and young people as well as drawing on other industry contacts and perspectives.

Give your students a great edge in their search for employment while at school and beyond!

Fun, engaging, and interactive, the content is workshop style with an emphasis on activities, props, roleplay, and group work.

Notes provided for students.

Workshops are 90 minutes and cover the following topics:

  • Why and how to get a job
  • Key traits that employers want
  • Develop familiarity with your own skills and understand the importance of soft skills
  • Create a one page CV
  • What to wear and what not to wear to an interview
  • First impressions and interview etiquette
  • Body language
  • Answering and asking questions in an interview
  • Taking a positive and proactive approach to challenges and setbacks.
