Promoting Resilience within Children, Families and Teams – Three Part Series – Three Consecutive Evening Sessions
Promoting and Building Resilience in Children – Part A – Resilience has been defined as a child's ability to withstand and rebound from disruptive life events and challenges. This workshop will provide teachers with the knowledge, skills and teaching strategies to enhance and empower a child's ability to deal with adverse life events.
Promoting Resilience within Families – Part B – This workshop will focus on the emerging research around developing and encouraging resilience in families. It will cover parenting strategies, identifying family strengths to enable families to better cope with negative life events.
Developing Resilient Teams – Part C – This workshop will draw upon the research findings emerging out of the fields of positive psychology and resilience research to empower managers, teachers and teams to reconnect to the meaning and purpose of their work and to build resilience for better outcomes for teachers, families and children. This workshop is over three consecutive evenings. (Tuesday 22, Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 September)
