Thursdays 4.00–5.30pm. Whether you are an absolute beginner or someone who has dabbled with programming and coding. Our focus is on having fun while integrating Digital Technologies into your classroom programme.

Join Michele O’Carroll and explore how to integrate digital technologies and computational thinking into curriculum areas and gain an understanding of the fundamentals of programming using age appropriate programming languages.

These sessions run fortnightly on Thursday's from 4.00pm –5.30pm.

During these sessions you will experiment with Bee-Bots, Blue-Bots, and Edison Robots and be supported to trial some units of work to use in your classroom. We will be looking at the https://meetedison.com/ lesson plans and some activities with Bee-Bots and Blue-Bots suitable for all levels. It is hoped that these four sessions will give you the confidence to use these devices in your classroom in a meaningful and integrated manner.

This meetup will be delivered in English however the content will be really beneficial to kura Māori also. We invite all Māori Medium kaiako to attend as the skills and knowledge covered in these sessions are relevant to Māori Medium contexts.
