Thursday 3.30pm–5.00pm. Whether you are an absolute beginner or someone who has dabbled with programming and coding. Our focus is on having fun while integrating Digital Technologies into your classroom programme.

Join Kate Bodger face-to-face and explore how to integrate digital technologies and computational thinking into curriculum areas and gain an understanding of the fundamentals of programming using age appropriate programming languages.

These sessions run fortnightly on Thursday's from 3.30pm–5.00pm.

During these sessions you will be supported to create a Scratch project based around Numeracy & Geometry. This project provides a platform for learners to understand polygons and how to use simple coding blocks to draw 2D shapes. Aimed at beginner level programmers, the project uses shapes to introduce programming as well as an introduction into microbits.

This meetup will be delivered in English however the content will be really beneficial to kura Māori also. We invite all Māori Medium kaiako to attend as the skills and knowledge covered in these sessions are relevant to Māori Medium contexts.

There is also the option to join in via a ZOOM Meeting, link details will be provided when you register.
