Registration is now open for this on-line, 4-part course, beginning Tuesday 1 September.

Discover how gratitude helps children to see, make and celebrate connection: the heart of all spirituality.

This series of workshops has been designed for educators who work with children aged 3 to 5, who want to deepen their understanding of what it means to support children's spirituality in practice.

After establishing a clear working definition of spirituality that will underpin and inspire your teaching, you'll explore how gratitude provides a strong framework around which to support children's spiritual wellbeing, with lots of practical tools and strategies to bring theory to life. Māori perspectives and values are integral to the course.

Topics covered include:

  • Building emotion knowledge and theory of mind
  • Deepening heart connection to nature
  • Developing empathy
  • Practicing kindness
  • How to use expressions of gratitude to build self-esteem and strong communities
  • How gratitude embodies the Māori values of manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, kaitiakitanga, ako and aroha
  • Developing simple, joy-filled gratitude rituals for your setting.

"The Growing Gratitude course was inspirational. It gave me a deeper understanding of how I can support children's spirituality, help them to understand their emotions and develop a positive and grateful mindset."

 - Kim, Otorohanga.

The next series of 4 workshops will run on Tuesdays 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd September, with a start time of 7.30pm.

Investment: $125 per person.
