Wellbeing for Kaiako Breakfast Series – Resilience and Emotional Intelligence

Professional development (PD) Auckland

Posted: 30 July 2020
Notice reference #: 1HA9LM

Join us for a series of breakfast workshops at Crave Cafe where we will be looking at ways in which we might enhance teacher wellbeing.
Come to one, two or three - its up to you!

These workshops are about finding your feet again and moving from surviving towards thriving through the lens of He Māpuna te Tamaiti. Before we can support the emotional and social wellbeing of children, we need to first take a look at ourselves.

Workshop 2: Resilience and Emotional Intelligence

Nā koutou i tangi, nā tātau katoa.
When you cry, your tears are shed by all of us.

Nurturing emotional intelligence and resilience within a supportive, responsive environment.

Being resilient doesn’t exclude us from feeling and showing emotion when disappointed, frustrated, sad, or angry. However, a resilient response will be one in which one can still move forward, think their way out of a situation, and regain balance, perspective, and optimism.
