An Introduction to Te Whāriki
This is part 4 of a free 4-part series developed to support overseas trained teachers gain a deeper understanding Te Whāriki and how to implement this curriculum in their teaching practice. This also offers a good refresher for kaiako that will strengthen their competency in bicultural practice.
This module recognises the skill set that overseas trained teachers bring to the Aotearoa New Zealand education system.
In this module:
- Support you to develop your understanding of Te Whāriki: He whāriki mātauranga mō ngā mokopuna o Aotearoa
- Explain the purpose and intent of Te Whāriki
- Assist you to plan and implement a local curriculum.
