Are you a primary or intermediate teacher keen to empower tamariki with a love of the ocean? The Young Ocean Explorers’ Scholarship could fund your Master of Education thesis, researching a new environmental education programme for primary students.
The scholarship is funded by Young Ocean Explorers, an organisation dedicated to inspiring primary school children to love and care for our oceans through educational resources.
The scholarship will support you to complete either a 90 or 120-point thesis as part of the Master of Education programme
The Master of Education can be taken part-time
The thesis will focus on developing and implementing a research process to identify and analyse the educational benefits of The 21 Day Challenge, a new primary school environmental education programme that looks at ways to restore the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park and foster a love of the ocean
The 21 Day Challenge will start on Monday 8 February 2021 and run for 21 days. You will work alongside Young Ocean Explorers to enable 21 days of learning, thinking, creating and action to engage and empower students to care for the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park or their local moana.
Apply before 31 July!
