Makerspaces in Schools – 4 x online webinar sessions after school

Tuesdays 3.30-4.30pm.

Whether you’re setting up a makerspace in your school or a maker corner in your classroom, this webinar will give you a set of guiding principles and practical tools to help you on your way. From designing powerful learning experiences to managing hands-on activities with students, we’ll look at both the theoretical and the practical, exploring a wide range of emerging technologies and ways to use them to create powerful learning.

Key questions to be explored:

  • What is the maker movement and where did it come from?
  • How is maker culture being adopted in schools?
  • What kinds of activities might students undertake in a makerspace?
  • What are the crucial skills, frameworks and approaches for developing maker culture?
  • Where do I start?
