Notice reference #: 1HA5ck

Following on from our 'Job Interview Success' resource, CareerStart now also offers in-school workshops around finding, applying, and interviewing for holiday and part-time work, in addition to interview skills in general.

We believe the benefits of part-time work for students are significant, in terms of gaining valuable life skills, plus offering insight and advantages around future employment and 'employability'.

Topics include:

  • Why and how to get a part-time or holiday job
  • What are employers looking for?
  • Be familiar with your own skills and achievements
  • Create a one page CV
  • What are interviews – their purpose, the process, and how to prepare
  • Practice interviews.

Workshops are 90 minutes each and suitable for up to 25 students. We come to you so no need to take students out of school.

Cost structure (on a per day basis):

1 session $435 + GST

2 sessions $595 + GST

3 sessions $755 + GST

Moderate travel charges may apply depending on location.

The 'Job Interview Success' printed resource  – just $19.95 + p&h.

CareerStart has developed a resource to support careers advisors as they assist students with interview skills, whether it's for a part-time job, permanent employment, or even tertiary study.

The aim is to narrow the gap between candidate and interviewer through a step-wise guide to preparation, the interview itself, and follow up. Worksheets reinforce each step, with master copies sent to careers coaches.
