Communication with children by teachers is a critical part of what “we” do each day. This workshop will focus on engagement and communication techniques with young children. It also explores ways of extending and enriching children’s learning opportunities. This workshop unpacks Bloom’s Taxonomy questions to increase quality open ended questions and genuine co-construction and will include: Communication strategies; Prioritising strategies; Engaging children; Extending children’s thinking.
