This award may suit a woman (past or present resident of the Franklin community in Auckland) who is undertaking a career in education (tutor or teaching role) and who best shows her achievements.
Since 1987, Business & Professional Women (BPW) Franklin has presented a cash Study Award to assist women in the Franklin community (previously defined as the area within the Franklin District Council) striving to build on their potential. The 2020 recipient will be a woman who has connections with Franklin or is a past or present resident of the Franklin area, and who is undertaking a course at a recognised university, polytechnic or college of education in New Zealand or retraining following an absence from employment.
She will show her need for this monetary support to continue her studies, that she contributes to her community through service such as volunteering to community groups, and that she has the personality to represent BPW Franklin and its ideals.
