Judi Cranston, children’s composer and founder/director of kindyRock has written a musical creation simply named ‘Slip, Slop, Slap and Wrap Song’ which merges her passion for education, fun and cancer prevention in a cool and catchy way. Thanks to NZ On Air funding, with advice and support from the Cancer Society, Judi’s passion is coming to life.

The song, aimed at pre-schoolers and young primary school children, is a fun way to encourage Kiwis to make smart choices this summer. It reminds people to be SunSmart even on a cloudy day and to Slip, Slop, Slap and Wrap every day.

Accompanying the song is a wonderful clay-mation video, which children find very entertaining! A sheet with lyrics and chords is also available so that the ukulele or guitar group can play along.

In March 2020  kindyRock, in collaboration with the Cancer Society, will be running a competition for Early Childhood Centres and Schools to help us find a cool dance to go with the song. Details will be available in the new year.
