Encouraging passionate writers can be a tricky thing to balance when you’ve got a classroom full of other students who also need your attention.

This webinar will explore ways to identify and support students’ strengths and weaknesses in writing, extension exercises for passionate writers, and ways to incorporate students’ own projects into a class environment.

Target audience

Teachers who are working with students who are passionate writers or with students who are looking for extension in their writing.

When: Tuesday 26 November @ 3.30 pm

Duration: 1 hour

About the presenter:

Helen Vivienne Fletcher is a children’s and young adult author, spoken word poet and award-winning playwright. She has written numerous titles for young people, including Broken Silence which was a finalist in the Ngaio Marsh Best First Book Award. She discovered her passion for writing for young people while working as a youth support worker, and now helps young people find their own passion for storytelling through her business, Brain Bunny Workshops: Creative Writing Classes for Children.
