'The more a teacher models a positive and excited disposition toward learning and especially mathematics, the more students will begin sharing in the fun.'

Dan Finkel, 5 principles that you can use in your math teaching to make the classroom hum

Howdy partners! If you are struggling to round up some motivated and engaged students in your maths classes we might just have the answer! We are offering a preliminary workshop for secondary school mathematics teachers and leaders to prepare for a positive start to 2020.

This preliminary ho down will provide opportunities for participants to reflect on their current teaching pedagogy, how do students experience learning in my mathematics classroom? and adapt their practice, what might I do differently to motivate my students?,  to ensure further success for their learners.  We will look at teaching strategies that create:

  • Positive classroom norms
  • A vibrant community of learning
  • An engaging and challenging curriculum.
