NZCBA Band Weekend in Christchurch Oct 4–6
NZCBA Band Weekends are for people to get together and play great repertoire in a concert band setting. Anyone can join, as long as they play wind, brass, percussion or double bass, and can read/play grade 3 to 4 concert band music (about grade 4 in exams).
This is the perfect MENZA Conference warm up!
Maybe play on your second instrument? But for sure, challenge your students to come along.
NZCBA promotes music making for life, and this initiative sees players as young as 10 or 11 alongside people in their 20s, 30s, and upwards to oldies up to 80 years.
Hosted by Christchurch School of Music, Maree Parr.
Conductor is Dr Helen Renaud of Burnside College.
