New Zealand Youth Symphonic Winds Auditions 2020
NZYSW is the premiere concert band for ages 16 to 24. Directed by Dr Kevin Cameron, the band meets twice yearly, Summer Event in January in Auckland, and Winter Event in July in Wellington. Repertoire is selected to challenge, motivate and stimulate those musicians who are grade 7 and above.
Auditions close 13 October. Required are two short pieces of a contrasting nature, and several excerpts which are found on the web page.

Aotearoa Youth Declaration – Opportunity for High School Students
Aotearoa Youth Declaration 2019, a four-day conference run in April each year at the University of Auckland for high school-aged rangatahi (youth aged 13-18) from around Aotearoa who want to make a difference. It is a great opportunity for passionate rangatahi to meet other like-minded rangatahi and challenge themselves.
At the conference, rangatahi work in groups (Rōpū) with trained facilitators to develop solutions to problems around specific topics, such as climate action, gender equality, international relations, or heritage.

FMG Jr Young Farmer Of The Year
FMG Jr Young Farmer Of The Year (previously TeenAG) aims to introduce and promote a positive picture about agriculture and agricultural careers from an early age. The goal is to show the stimulating and fun side of agriculture to students from all walks of life, you don't need to be off a farm, you just need to have a love of the land and be keen to get your hands dirty.
