Te Kaapuia o Te Waoku – We are all part of nature.

Join us in the Wellington Botanic Garden for a unique education experience. Our programme offers primary-aged students an opportunity to get hands-on with plants and learn about the different ways we use them. We focus on four key areas: food, fibre, medicine and construction.

Curriculum overview

Our vision is to be connected to the land and the environment. In our programme, students will discover the value of ecological sustainability whilst learning about the importance of plants and their impact on people.

Key competencies

  • Students will learn to think critically about the relationship between people and plants.
  • They will actively participate and contribute to the growth and care of plants.
