Grants Available to Fund Projects Involving Outdoor and Environmental Education

The John Peart Trust, a subsidiary of Massey University Foundation is seeking applications from provisionally registered, or registered teachers that are alumni of Massey University and teaching in the regions of; Taranaki, Taupo, Hawkes Bay, Whanganui, Rangitikei, Manawatu and Levin.

The selection committee of the Trust will consider applications for grants in support of:

(a)  Travel and enrolment fees for extra-curricular courses and for experiences that build the capacity to participate in and lead outdoor and environmental education;

(b) Practical research likely to promote or enable outdoor and environmental education;

(c)  Resources and equipment for individuals and organisations (e.g clubs,       schools) that will enable outdoor and environmental education to occur where, without them, it could not;

(d) Development of resources that facilitate the use of a site for outdoor and environmental education by students (Massey and schools);

(e)  Undertaking works that enable access to, or protection of, a site for OD & EE where the owner has made the site available for that purpose;

(f)  The maintenance and/or enhancement of outdoor and environmental education amenities used by Massey organisations and regional schools.
